Abu Umamah Al-Bahili (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “I guarantee a house in Jannah for one who gives up arguing, even if he is in the right; and I guarantee a home in the middle of Jannah for one who abandons lying even for the sake of fun; and I guarantee a house in the highest part of Jannah for one who has good manners”
ابو امامہ باہلی رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”میں اس کے لیے جنت میں ایک گھر کا ضامن ہوں جو جھگڑا چھوڑ دے، اگرچہ وہ حق پر ہو، اور میں جنت میں گھر کی ضمانت دیتا ہوں۔ جنت کا درمیانی حصہ اس کے لیے ہے جو مذاق کے لیے بھی جھوٹ بولنا چھوڑ دے اور میں اس کے لیے جنت کے بلند ترین حصے میں ایک گھر کی ضمانت دیتا ہوں
In this hadith, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is teaching us about the importance of good manners and how it can lead to great rewards in the hereafter. He guarantees a house in Jannah for those who give up arguing even if they are right, a home in the middle of Jannah for those who abandon lying even if it’s just for fun, and a house in the highest part of Jannah for those who have good manners. This hadith encourages us to practice self-control when we are faced with difficult situations or when we feel like we are right. It also teaches us that lying should never be done even if it’s just for fun because it can lead to serious consequences both here on earth and in the hereafter. Finally, this hadith reminds us that having good manners is essential as it will bring great rewards from Allah SWT.
