Sahl ibn Sa’d reported: We were in the trench with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was digging and we were carrying the dirt away. The Prophet passed by us and he said, “O Allah, there is no life worth living but the life of the Hereafter, so forgive the Ansar and the Muhajirun.”
سہل بن سعد رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ خندق میں تھے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھدائی کر رہے تھے اور ہم مٹی کو اٹھا رہے تھے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے پاس سے گزرے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اے اللہ زندگی کے لائق کوئی زندگی نہیں مگر آخرت کی زندگی، پس انصار اور مہاجرین کو بخش دے۔
