Narrated by Abdullah ibn Hisham radi allahu anhu that when there is new year or new month would begin , the Sahaba (companion) of the RasoolAllah SalAllahu Alaihi Wasallam would learn the following dua
✦ Allahumma Adkhilhu Alaina bil Amni wal iman, Was salamati wal islam,
Wa ridwanim minar Rahman, wa Jawazim minash shaitan
✦ O Allah, bring this (month or year) upon us with security and iman, And with safety and Islam, and with the pleasure of Rahman and Protection from shaitan.
