Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: We were praying with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as a caravan arrived carrying food. They turned their attention to it until none remained with the Prophet but twelve men. Thus, the verse was revealed, “When they saw trade or diversion, they rushed to it and left you standing.” (62:11)
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نماز پڑھ رہے تھے کہ ایک قافلہ کھانا لے کر آیا۔ انہوں نے اس کی طرف توجہ کی یہاں تک کہ بارہ آدمیوں کے سوا کوئی نبی کے پاس نہ رہا۔ چنانچہ یہ آیت نازل ہوئی کہ ’’جب انہوں نے تجارت یا موڑ دیکھا تو اس کی طرف بھاگے اور آپ کو کھڑا چھوڑ دیا۔ (62:11)
